The Paris 2024 Olympic Games Organizing Committee reports that 3.25 million tickets have been sold in less than 3 weeks and that basketball is the 4th most popular sport.

The Olympic Games did not have such a major impact on the number of basketball licensees in France in 2024. In fact, the number of licensed players between 2023 and 2024 (i.e. before and after the Olympics) fell by around 93,000.
